Looking for anyone who's currently keeping a Congo Puffer to help me out here... I may be able to get one, but wanna make sure I'll have the tank set up properly for him. I know about a sand substrate, but would you suggest lots of rocks over live plants? Any other info would be great too! I haven't had much luck finding tank setup details... I'm currently keeping and Abei and 5 Dwarfs and would love to add a Congo to the collection...
If the Congo deal falls through, then my back up plan is a Turgidus for this tank...
THANX

I have anubias on the sides of the tank & some kind of ling curly plant in the back, where she doesn't really burrow. I have a fake mangrove cave on one side (which she never uses) & a rock on the other side. The front & middle is open for burrowing. Punkster is in my avatar.

I have a baby thats about 2 inches now and he lives in a forest of GIANT HYGROPHILA, Aponogento crispus and crypt wendii... he's pretty happy... he parks his butt in the branches of the 'trees' trying to catch a few of the tetras i have left lol...
i think their happy as long as the water is clean and lighting is not too bright.
i can't see how live plants can ever hurt a FW set up
