Hello got my tank all set up and decorated, let me know what you think.

That would make a good DP tank, but it seems a little crowded for a tank with a bigger fish like a F8 IMO

Im going to be putting some figure eights in there, there is still quite a bit of room, the plants make it look as though there is less. There a lot of caves in those rocks, all have opens at least three inches tall and wide. I just thought it would be better with a ton of plants in there to help break up lines of sight.

Yeah, it looks pretty crowded in there with all those plants.

Your tank is absolutely stunning. I need to up my game to catch up with everyone!

Thanks for the comments, I try and make my tanks as aesthetically pleasing as possible. I will switch it over to live plants once I can rig up a decent hood and lights. The fake plants will work for now though.

How big is that tank? It looks great!

Its a 30 gallon tank, I have never been a big fan of these tanks. I hate how tall and narrow they are, but once you throw in almost 40 pounds of lace rock and a whack load of fake plants, it starts looking better.

K, thanks for the constructive criticism, I will see how the puffers like it before I change stuff around. if they don't seem as active I will remove some of the plants and see how they react, since the tank is for them and not me. Like I said before there is alot more room in there then it looks. It does really look crammed in the pic. There is around 3 inches (on average) around the rocks and glass, with more in the back. The plants in the front and back have around 5-8 inches in between them. I just figured the more complex the tank the less bored they will become. Keep the comments coming, I do enjoy the constructive criticism, and take no offense.

I like it. That's what I would do too, wait and see how they like it. I'd worry about cleaning though lol
oh and I know the caves are cool, but Hootey (my gsp) really doesn't like caves, so that's just another thing... I don't know too much about F8 behavior though.

Nice tank! I think that F8s could do with a little more swimming room but you are also correct in thinking they'll appreciate things to look at and explore.
One thing I would say is that if the tank is fairly full of rocks and plants (fake or live) it will make cleaning that much harder...so it may look nice now, but be prepared to have to upset things later to get at nooks and crannies where leftover food will decay and cause problems later down the line.
