green spotted puffer

We have 3 green spotted puffers well we thought we did until visiting our lfs who have said they are dwarf green spotted puffers. is there such a fish as dwarf green spotted? the fish we have are definitly not fresh water dwarf puffers as the pics on pufferpedia are exactly the same as our green spotted

There is no such thing as a dwarf green spotted. They are probably just small.

You should go with your ID from the Pufferpedia & be sure to read the article on them in our Library.

yes. we did say that we'd never heard of them and that we'd looked on the internet and his response was "any one can write anything on the internet"
We have read up about them as its what we intended to get all along but when we questioned him on tank size today he said they wouldnt need a big tank as they are dwarf green spotted not green spotted.
funny thing is we asked him for their scientific name and he gave us the green spotted name

He's probably only familliar with heavily stunted specimens, they really need a lot of space to reach proper adult size and lifespan.

... and anyone can work in a fish store. I'd go with the advice here. There is no fish as a dwarf GSP.
