I want to try it and see how it works for me, rather than using any chemicals. And could you also tell me how much would I use in a 120 gallon. Thanks so much.

Start with 1/4 tsp, raise it to 1/2 tsp after 3 days, then 1 tsp 3 days later. Keep at that level & if no improvements, go to 1 1/2 & then 2. I was at 2 for about 4 months, dropped to 1 & am now at 1 1/2, for a 100g (total water volume) system.

I dose my 15g with 1/4 tsp. You could try 1/2 of that & then do 1/4 tsp.

I received my vitamin c today. I'm going to start adding it tonight. I didn't realize the bottle was going to be so large. I actually ordered 2 bottles. I'll post an update on how things are going after a few weeks.

Yeah, should last you a while. I hear we bought it all up--they're out of it now! I dump some into a smaller bottle & put the rest in the fridge to keep it fresh.

Update:
Started using my vitamin c on 7/17, did my waterchange yesterday and checked my water this morning. My nitrates with the red sea nitrate test was 0, my nitrates with the api s/w test was 5 or 10(could be 0 color's are so close on the api I can't really tell the difference). I use both test kits on the s/w because I feel the red sea could be deceiving by looking at the card. Don't know if you ever used it before but I never really know if I should read off the left or the right of the card. Anyway, I believe the vitamin c is really helping on the nitrates. I don't know if everyone knows this but the nitrates shot way up to over 80 after a snail died. It's been about a month now of 50% waterchanges 1-2 times a week to get them down. I was so excited this morning when the reading was so low. Btw: it didn't change anything else. Ph 8.2, nitrite 0, ammonia 0, Nitrate (depending on the test) 0-10. You can't see me but I am doing a happy dance.

awesome! now the test would see how long they stay down without water changes just continuing dosing of the vitamin C and any other supplements, to test wether its the vitamin C bringing the nitrate down or the 50% water changes cus i know both should bring them down lol but either way great news!

You still need to do WC, just not as drastic. My Mantis nano tank used to get 90% weekly WC & the trate was still >100 by the end of the week. now I do 50-75% every 3 weeks (probably don't have to do them as large but it's a small tank), w/trates remaining around 10 or less.

yea im doing about 25% twice a week on my nano right now and as soon as i start dosing vit C i think ill back off a little just cus its hard to do water changes on nano reefs, not cus amount of salt or anything. with my GSP tank tho i would love for my nitrates to stay low for salt costs lol its starting to get to me.

I would like to do 25% twice a week or do 50% once a week. Before my disaster this is what I was doing, after my nitrates spiked I was doing 50% twice a week. Once it spiked it was so hard to get it back down. I'm so relieved right now. I did notice that my coraline is starting to grow now that I'm adding vit. c, but I have also noticed teeth marks on the lr. I guess the puffers are having a snack. They must like coraline.
