after getting things horribly wrong (thanks to the idiot at the shop) with 4 baby gsp's, I have done some hard thinking and 2 days reading up in here and priceless advice from people, and decidied the best thing to do is take the poor little guys back to the store and exchange for some DP's.
My tank is 10 uk gallons which I think works out to 12 US gallons, and obviously low end brackish due to the GSP's, do i need to completely clean it out and scrub all the plants etc before the new DP's go in, or would replacing the water a couple of times and adding Bio Cycler do the trick?
Any advice greatly appreciated as I don't wanna get things wrong again

i believe just replacing the water should work. NEVER use bio cycler or any of those products, i learned first hand they don't do a thing. unless you can get your hands on some bio spira thats being refrigerated those products aren't worth the money and do nothing. i'd say just replace the water until all the salt is removed or is diluted to almost nothing, and then try to cycle the tank again. good luck with the DPs. always wanted some myself but i don't think they'd do well in my freshwater tank. an i want to keep my side tank as brackish becuase i want to try figure eights again. good luck with those little guys.
Thanks, I thought it'd be ok, the sand and filter have been in there well over a week now and the GSP's are doing really well which is the sad thing but there is just no way our little house can accomodate a 120g tank along with the 12g tank in the kitchen and the 40g tank my dwarf turtles are in!!
I'm going to get a stack of fresh plants when I pick the DP's up as there are only plastic in there.

no problem. and yeah its a good idea to get a lot of plants and decor in the tank so the little guys don't get bored. hope everything goes well. let me know how they do.
after working out my tank is actually 15 gallon not 10 as thought (corner pentagon) we brought home the 4 baby dwarf puffers, i just couldn't leave one on his own in that horrible shop and an oto to keep the glass clean
Everyone is doing really well but i will be keeping a close eye on the water levels for a while and doing 50% water changes weekly
I have bought lots of plants which the little cuties are thoroughly enjoying exploring
Any hints or tips from anyone would be greatly appreciated

don't ever use a net if you need to move them. they'll puff up with air which could end in their death (like mine). good luck with them. try to get some pictures, i'm interested in seeing how teh tank looks.

Shy Dwarf Puffers? Mine disappear into the thicket till the camera comes out. Then they are pressing themselves up the to glass to get their photos taken! Thats why I named them after characters from that Ben Stiller movie, Zoolander. Derek, Hansel and Matilda. I cant wait to see those shots too.....
