How difficult are they to find in the UK? I understand all the concerns over misidentification, the sub-species rather than true species issue and so on, but I've been given the opportunity to buy a 4ft long, 206l brand new and really cheap and from everything I've read about sabahs they seem brilliant....if they're available anywhere! The tank seems a bit overkill for miurus, even though I'm considering a 180l for him, so I've been looking at other puffers too.

I wouldnt say you will see them listed, just have to do a bit of shop trawling to see if one is labelled as a Ceylon or GSP.

Thanks Hilly, that's what I 'feared'. Can see me spending months back and forth between shops on the off-chance.

How's yours doing?

He's doing fine thanks, I have considered getting rid of him due to my spiralling electricity bills but I cant bring myself to part with him just yet.

Really?! That's such a shame!

If you do decide to part with him, please do let me know? Very loving home and oversized tank would await :)
