I have DPs too and any snail I toss in there they manage to eat. Maybe bigger snails they wouldn't eat but they would definitely nip. When I throw in baby snails often times they don't make it all the way to the bottom before being taken out
Those DPs LOOOOVE snails!
I'm not 100% sure, some people say that the DPs will nip them to death.. others say they'll be fine. I never tempt fate. I have some ottos in the tank that they don't bother and RCS and they're fine with those two tank mates...

I have 4 DP's and I have 5 apple snails, 1 trapdoor snail, and 5 baby trapdoors with them..they do nip at them once in awhile...but do not attack them as in trying to kill them...I don't think you'll have any problems..but they have eaten my Ramhorn snails...

In my opinion the apple snails would be miserable in a puffer tank.

Somebody who occasionally posts here had an apple snail with her dps, and the dps slowly picked at the snail so it would suffer. She soon separated them.

had them in there for about a month only seen them pick at them 2 times...my rosey barbs have done alot more damage...they have already killed one and killed 4 trapdoors..the reason why I removed my remaining one and collected all the babies out of the 55 gl into the puffer tank...with no problems

I have 3 DPS and tried trapdoor snails with them but afer only an hour I had to take them out 'cuz the puffers were harrasing it... I don't recommend it, unless you have another place to rehome the snails if your puffers show too much interest!
