puffer ID

Found this pic and wondered if anyone could ID this puffer. I'm thinking it's marine of some sort...

nevermind. it took me a little while, but i think i found it.
Arothron caeruleopunctatus: Blue-spotted puffer

agreed?

No. The blue spotted has more spots

Your puffer also lacks the rings around the eyes the blues spotted has.

This is more likely a A. meleagris like

and the spots appear blueish due to the light.

Me too. They have a beautiful one at my LFS. They are such pretty fish.

hmmm, so if it's A. meleagris then it only appears to have the blue color? and GFP does come in that color? I just think it's an awesome puffer :)
maybe I could have a tank big enough for one some day. :D

I bet that's just the light that gives it a blueish color.

A. meleagris = GFP !

my bad :) it was late and I didn't feel like looking it up.

I had a GFP pictured differently in my head...

too bad, I kinda liked the idea of a blue puffer like that. :D
