Hey all!
I've just hit the jackpot and am able to upgrade to a brand new 75g w/ stand for $150! (The people who bought it decided they wanted something smaller...they paid over 400 for the tank alone). Anyway, I'm soooo excited, and am slowly being convinced to delve my way into the marine side of things (Yay!). It's relatively long for a 75, 4' to be exact - I plan on it becoming a FOWLR tank. Couple of questions. One, What can I stock it with? I love my puffers! Would some of the 100g ones be possible, seeing as how I have the extra length? (I do plan on upgrading someday, but it may not be for a while!...maybe this Christmas, if I can) I saw an A. manilensis for sale, but know that it has high requirements (although, of course, the LFS said 75...wouldn't you know! Silly fishstores. Grrr). I know some of the tobys would be an option... what could I keep with them? Are there any puffers that will stay away from SOME coral? The canghtigaster papua looks awesome! My GSPs (bless their hearts) were just the most outgoing and friendly fish. I would love to have some that are that way again. I'd love a Fugu, a Papuan Toby, a Caribbean Sharpnose, a Valentini, ...as I said above, the Narrow-lined puffer, etc. I know I can't have ALL of them (Don't you hate that?!). What combinations could I have? (I can do without corals if need be) What things do I need to get started w/ marine? I do well with brackish, so I'm not worried at all about keeping paramaters, just about buying the right equipment (lighting, skimmer, filtration, etc.). Who can I keep together? What non-puffers can I add? Please help.
