Feeding the porc

Last night me and my friend fed Gizmo a shrimp. She is really little maybe 3 1/2 inches and I thawed it out and threw it in the tank. Man did she go crazy! I thought she was going to choke, I had to keep pulling it out of her mouth because the shrimp was huge and she is so little. She ate almost the whole thing!! It was super cool, I tried finding some mussells but they didn't have any, I can't wait to see what happens when I put that in there, do you think my gsp will also eat frozen shrimp or mussells? Or are they too small? Is there any other hard food I could look for at the sea food department?

Really? Gizmo acts like she can't see the mysis, but I found some bigger mysis that starts with a "p" but I can't remember the name of it. She goes after that like she has never eaten before in her life. We also give her live brine as a treat and she like to chase it. She is so amazing! She has such personality. She doesn scare us sometimes, since I have a key to my friends house I stop by when hes not home and sometimes she sits on the bottom and it looks like she is dead because when she breathes its not very fast and she can go a few seconds without moving her fins and eyes and not breathing its kinda scary, but I don't think anything is wrong with her at least I hope not!

mine does that alot too... just sits under her rock most of the day...

she seems only active at night/when the lights are off...

it's frustrating as i get scared.. but she eats well, and zooms round in the dark... so i just have to patient i think..

hopefully she'll get more confident as she settles in, she has been through alot already! :-)

Ya I know everytime I watch the tank she seems to be hiding but when anyone comes close to the tank its like hide and seek. When your standing next to the tank she hides and then comes out when you walk away like "ha ha here I am you didn't find me!" She has learned how to beg because sometimes I see her at the top of the tank dancing around. She was really thin when my friend got her and not her belly is at least flat with the rest of her body and when I fed her the shrimp her belly bulged out on one side. I have noticed that she get really tired after she eats so I know that after she gets food that she will go hide.
