In my local store, they only sell Ick Guard and not Ick Guard II. For the F8, I believe that it would be recommended to use Ick Guard II because it is more friendly with scaleless fishes. Has anyone used Ick Guard regular on scaleless fish before?

Anyone know what the actual difference between the two are?

Ick guard II is supposed to be more tolerated by sensitive fish. But really, if your fish has ick, all you need is salt! There's a great article in the library about treating fresh water ick, you'll find all the info you need as to what to do in there! So whether it's ick guard or Ick guard II, none is needed for a puffer! :D

Heat, salt, large water changes often, is all you need to treat ich on a FW/BW fish.

Why is this in Marine Puffers? Moving to the Hospital forum.
