Personally, I don't know much about F8s, but I do know that F8s and BBGs work excellent. I don't know about the tank size, though. I've never kept them.

I think f8s need 15 gallons a piece. BBG are so small I would think you could add quite a few of them. They like to hide but they are fun to watch. I had 3 of them in my 14 gallon with my f8 but the 2 really small ones didn't make it (they were sick when I got them). My puffer never seemed to mind them since they don't eat everyday (at least mine doesn't) my puffer didn't even seem to notice him. Plus the like to stick to plants and glass so they don't really affect the puffer. Someone else could tell you how many.

yea i agree with them, the BBG will barley effect the load of the tank so i would think 5 or 6 wouldnt be a big deal at all for a 29 with two f8. i mean if you watch the tank carefully with waterchanges you might be able to get more but it might be risky, i think it would depend on your specific f8 and his personality.

the gobies keep them selves occupied in there own areas and the puffers just roam where they want to lol

i was told figure 8s needed 15 gallons and 10 for each puffer after that i gave 2f8s and 4 bumble bee gobys and a night goby in the same 29 and they are all ok (my night goby is having issues but the others are fine)

I also have a night goby in a different tank and they can be a handful. They are very greedy and will come and steal food from any fish.
