lopsided belly on a GSP

I have two new GSPs in a quarantine tank right now and feed them a mussel. Before I could take it out, they ate so much they had BIG bellies. The one's belly is very large only on one side. Any ideas what could be causing that? IPs? Some kinda of genetic issue?

shouldn't be anything to worry about, the food is probably just sitting a bit funny, give it an hour or two to start digesting and it should smooth and even out, if it doesn't, then you may have a problem, but I'm pretty sure that's all it is :)

I wouldn't worry too much either. My puffers regularly have lopsided or bumpy bellies after they've eaten too with comical effects

My GSP has the biggest belly ever! Everytime I see her I think she is going to burst, she was like that when I bought her (thats why I got her)! Her belly never goes down and I don't know why. My other Gsp is really skinny and when he eats his belly is a little lopsided to the right. I think he might have ips so I am treating him and hopefully he will get big and round when they are gone! I feel better about my puffers belly now too after seeing this post!

Thanks! I'm not that worried, but I will still treat him for IPs, just in case. He's new so I should do that any ways.
