i've been getting a lot of white hairy algae on my wood that i got from a river. I soaked it for about three weeks cleaned it and then boiled it for couple hours I let it cool off then droped it in my tank. First couple weeks was fine but then it just started growing. I gor one F8 puffer in 30 gal SL 1.009. It looks cool gut is it harmless? Does anybody knows hot to get rid of it? i know that thare are some fish that eat it but i dont know which, can somebody help me.

It would need extensive soaking in bleach solution, then dechlorinator, then to be dried totally in a kiln to make wild-gathered wood free enough of organics to not have mold issues in a tank. It will likely have mold issues and rot away as unprepared, wild gathered wood.
