Wormer Plus from Plymouth Discus is UK based and available under the small animal exception. Should ship fast. Just make sure you turn off your skimmer for 2 days afterwards or it will skim out too fast.

been looking at that wormer plus....

is it usable for marines? and more specifically marine puffers? Anyone tried it on anything other than freshwater fish...

Should it make a difference whether its freshwater flukes/workms etc or marine ones, or are they all the same.....

Flubenzidole kills most inverts more simple than shrimp, even snails die... it's VERY broad class. I've used it at full marine, you must turn your skimmer off for at least a day or two tho. Make sure you use at least a full dose, I've done double safely, parasites get resistant to the stuff very quickly, so you want to completely overwhelm them.

In the US, before praziquantel was available for fish, it was widely used to deworm dogs. Fishkeepers wanting to use praziquantel could obtain it from their vet as tablets for dogs. Fishkeepers would do a 3 hour dip using the dog medication. If praziquantel for dogs is available in the UK, it is likely you could Google to find the dosing and treatment procedure for treating fish with tablets made for dogs.

i orders some of the wormer hilly found... pymouth discus stuff...

now, when i get it... do i just dose the tank (10G quarentine tank..) as it says on the pack?

Or do i soak her food... ? If so, do i make up a solution as if it were dosing the tank, or do i make a stronger mix for soaking the food in?


or both?


Not seen a puff this bad before, eats greedily, and gets a big tummy, but the bulge is right at the back of the underneath of her body and stays she completely concave at the front of her underside...

her eyes look huge she is so gaunt...

You're supposed to add it to the water, but I'd soak some freeze dried krill or similar in it too for security.
