Wow, that's quite an unusual fish... It's beautiful!

I'm trying to imagine what's evolutionarily beneficial about that mutation... Perhaps it's a riverine lurker-predator? The protrusions for added traction for sitting still in strong currents?

Hey, lucky guess!

"Found mainly in rocky habitats including rapids of the Mekong mainstream and its larger tributaries"

Ay, good call.

I'm fascinated by cryptic markings... T. palembangensis and C. irrubesco are among the finest--they're the only puffs currently on my wish list.

It is very good to have you back, Sean.
You got so much valuable information & pictures from your part of the world.

The Pufferforum will not be complete until we got auto-translations from & to Chinese and Japanese. :D

How about it SG?
Next week?

Well, seems I will see a live specimen tomorrow...
Just received a mail from the largest LFS in Norway.
It came in today!

Did not mention the price though...

Well, if hell freezes over during the night I probably wont buy it...

The guy who owns this LFS is married to a Phillipina.
They run their own fresh/marine import out of the east.
He is outrageously expensive, but all fishes offered for sale are in excellent condition.

Man, has this been the summer for me...
Firstly T. abei and then T. baileyi.
But where will it live? *sighs*

Phillipina? You mean Phillipino?

And lucky you, your getting all the rarer puffs on that side off the world. If only you can figure out how to successfully breed them and them become an exporting business :D
