any clue what kind of puffers?

so im in the market to get another puffer and called the lfs to find out what was available in their 'freshwater puffer' section. in addition to the normal gsp, figure 8s, red eye/red tails i was told:
gold green and green neon (are these two just another name for gsp?)
hairy puffer (hairs of gold at over $40 a fish!)
red bellied (really really sick puffers?!)
pig nose (worried about their potential appetite)
black river
puffers were all available.
i couldn't find the gold green, green neon, red bellied, pig nose ones on pufferpedia, anyone have any clue about these guys?
im really interested in the pig nose, lol, sounds cute.
and the hairy puffer because i already got its name all picked out: "harry potter." though i can't take the credit for the name, that was all the fish specialist!
if im gonna spend $40 i was curious if anyone who has owned one would recommend one for someone's 2nd puffer ever? in other words, as a novice, would he die? (ive only ever had a gsp)
thanks for any help!
