new to this please help

hi there i need some advice ive been up and running with my marine fish for about 2 years i recently fell in love with a dog face puffer but im not sure if he will get on with my other tank mates i have a blue face angel fish a koran angel fish a powder blue tang a lipstick tang a sail fine tang a regal tang i have a six foot tank 2 foot deep with plenty of hiding places for the little fellow can hide, my main concern is ive heard that the dog face can release toxines into the water which would kill the tangs is there any truth to this cheers guys andy

No, boxfish and cowfish can.
Puffers have the same type of poison only it can only be delivered when they are eaten.
I wouldn't get it though, it seems like your tank is full already.
I moved this to the Marine Puffer forum instead.

I agree, when those tangs are large adults, there will be no room for a DF.

I agree, too. While the tank would be sufficient for a single dogface puffer, the other fishes in your tank are getting large (too large for your tank), and are active swimmers. There won't be enough space, you'd psychologically overcrowd the tank.
The puffer poison is no problem as crazedpuffer already stated, it's not very soluble and can only be released in small doses to tell predators "I don't taste well".

Technically the two toxins are different but this is completely irrelevant.
