I just got a 10 gal tank for my SAP using aquaclear 20. I wanted to make this tank for the sap more natural. The LSF recommanded riverbed sand and a african drfit root for natural look in a river. The problem i have is. When i put water in with the sand. The water becomes really cloudy and the sand kinda gets muddy but not thick i gues becasue is riverbed sand. Anyone know how to make the water clear?

well soon as i pour water in the tank becomes cloudy becasue of riverbed sand. I didnt wait to see anything..soon as i see it was cloudy i pour the water out and try to rinse the sand but still cloudy...so now i let it sit in water for awhile to see what happen later.

You should probably rinse the sand first. I just use a bucket and a hose, then stir then sand around and pour off the dirty water until it's clean.
It may still be a little cloudy after, but it will clear within a couple days.
