ok... I just went to the bedroom.. time for megatrons dinner. ( megatron is a 2.5" GSP, in a 5 gallon brackish.. his new home is currently being set up.. plants are being ordered ect.)

Hes floating.. and there are, eww.. tiny.. little swimming thingys in his tank.. all lover the place.. they look like sperm.. little tadpole things. All over the glass and swimming in the water. I say hello to megatron everyday.. ive never seen these nasty little dudes before. I did a 30% water change the other day.. I cant find my test kit ( just moved) . AHhHhh...

Megatron is bobbing, floating.. he floating into the waterfall from his filter.. burped and was swimming again.. went to the top.. and hes floating again..

Oh please help... i love my little megatron.. what the heck are these swimmers!!

oh yeah.. i moved Jan 12th.. went on vacation for two weeks and well.. its not the move.. its been too long.

I work at a small pet store.. took home some snails for him, its possible the little parasites hitchiked with the snails..

For water changes i used his marine salt stuff, water conditioner.. thats it. All his plants and hidy things are plastic.

he eats krill and dried shrimp and bloodworms..(sometimes frozen sometimes pre-soaked dried) The snails were offered two days ago, he took no interest in them.. so was the water change... two days ago..

sorry this is so all over the place.. im freakin out.. I took some pictures, but dont know how to make the file smaller.. Eep.

The little swimmmer are probably planaria. Due to un eaten food left in the tank. Post your test results.

Any chance of a picture? Black tadpole looking things remind me of mosquito larvae, but that's just a wild shot in the dark...a very wild shot in a very, very dark room.

Please post your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & pH. Don't bother with plants--you're going to wind up rsising the SG way higher than plants can handle. Get that puffer in the larger tank, ASAP. In the meantime, do a good gravel cleaning & a 50% water change today & again tomorrow.

well.. like i said, i cant find my test kit.. ill see if i can grab one at work today.. i did a 50% water change.. megatron is looking much better, hes not puffing himself up anymore. And i would say about 95% of the little pests seem to be gone.Ill just keep sucking them up untill i find out what they are.

The things in the tank looked like they had a round body with a tail coming off that they wiggle around with like a tadpole. They are white.

The plants are going to be java fern, Anubius, Vallisneria, and havent even been ordered yet. Like i said, his new home is in the process of being set up.. not ready for me to toss him in just yet ( need new heater, substrate ect.. im waiting for my discount to kick in at work) Basicly its just empty tank thats being planned out.
