The Puffer Forum

Before going to one of the LFS's in my area... the only one who so far has proven its knowledge on puffers, my g/f was taking forever to get ready. Just playing around, being goofy like I can be, for some reason I decided to call her 'Chelonodon Patoca' lol. We get to the LFS to find that they got a new puffer in for me! Milkspotted Puffer... lol, go figure eh ? What are the odds ? Haha, I am totally going to try it again next week....

Hrm... what to call her..... ?

P.S. - We now have 4 Milk Spotted Puffers in the 'Umbrella' family
Of course as soon as I get batteries I will upload photo's and then later I'll add the other info I find through observation, as usual

Where are you in PA? I need to start going to your LFS!

I am just outside Philadelphia, in Montgomery County. Place called Hatfield... you know.. the place where the Hatfield meat comes from.

The LFS is called Q-pets and it is in the Quakertown Farmers Market. Takes me about 20 mins to get there. Owner is capable of ordering specific puffers if requested with promise of purchase. He is the only one whom I found to actually be educated on puffers. If you are close enough/interested their # is 215 536 1122. I believe they have a website but it is part of the farmer's market website.

aaww man. Why do all the cool places have to be in philly!?

I'm not really for 5 hour+ trips to lfs, lol. I always get hopeful when I see someone from PA but they are always a million hours away, living in big states such!

So I guess... technically this wouldn't be an 'LFS' to you... but maybe rather a 'NSLFS' lol. A 'Not So Local Fish Store'
