Can someone post pics of the top view of a ceylon. I am having trouble distinguishing fluvialitis and Nigrovidis

Once you see them in person or side by side it's much easier to tell.

They look nothing like GSPs--more like F8s, with spots on the flanks & belly.

Basically, there are large black patches on the top of ceylons without the characteristic eyespots near the tail. GSP's have smaller more uniform sized spots.

another pic...
i find the easiest way to tell the difference is that ceylons have faded spots on their sides, inbetween the bands of colour on the top and the white belly... it more of a graduation from the top to the white, where as a Fig 8 and a GSP have a definite line, coloured top, white belly.. it's very distrinct...

I'm pretty sure they do. Seems like their distinction is that they're a mix of F8 patterns and GSP spots/colouring.

Neither the F8, nor the Ceylon are guaranteed to have an 8 on their back. The only way to definately tell a F8 is the black "eyespot" on either side of the body, near their tail--resembling eyes.
