I apologize for the traumatic nature of this link in advance. My little sis called me over to her comp and had this up, it was something I thought you all might be intrigued to see. Kinda "oh my gosh!" but cool to see natural habitat moments.otters are mean to mbu irl

Wow, I finally got to see a Mbu puffed! But it didn't have big spines. It just look like it hasn't shaved for a day or two. BTW, I'm surprised that the otter didn't play more with it. Otters are playful, and such a big ball must be great fun for it. On the other hand, it probably was looking for food and not something to play with this time.
I wasn't able to hear the comments, as the sound was too low. I don't know if it's only my computer, but I checked the sound on it, and it was turned up as much as possible.

haha, I watched this earlier and decided not to say anything on here so to not hurt anyone's feelings.

I just thought it was something commonly known in America, that I didn't know about. There sometimes is, and I found out that this time I shouldn't be too shy to ask. It wasn't before Friday I figured out who "hot lips Houlihan" is (as Boxermom called her miurus).

I think Boxermom posted this video last year.
I saw this on myspace too this monring. It is pretty cool that the puffer basically won!

Anyone notice that it seemed the puffer inhaled air?
Not only was it above the water when it puffed, but it floated as well, which it wouldn't do if it was filled with water. Interesting.

I think the otter was really put off from the spines, even though they weren't that big it seemed like every time he put his mouth on it he kinda backed away and shook his head cause of the spines. Kind of like when a silly dog decides to attack a porcupine.

Haha, I saw that a long time ago, before I knew a whole lot of puffs. Now I see it again and feel smart knowing what kind of puff it is =]

Someone did post this here a year or two ago. Nice to see it again anyhow.
I also noticed how the puffer inhaled quite a bit of air while inflating. Notice all the bubbles it makes as it deflates itself?

Perhaps the fact that it was laying on its back while deflating allowed the air to escape?
