Hey guys ive found a web site selling frozen gamma foods are the whole cockle etc ok for my fresh water puffers says for marine aquaria

Whoa, are cockle shells small and relatively soft compared to snail shells? I'd like to get a bunch of those if possible, haha. I have no idea where I'd get them, though.

Both have a hard calcareous outer shell. But the snail's shell is coiled like a spiral, the cockle has got two shell valves (hence "Bivalvia"). I think that as far as hardness they are pretty much the same and size varies as well.

Might as well just buy it for cheaper from the produce dept of your greocery store.
