I want to know if anyone here has or has had one of these beautiful puffers. If so I want to share some information about them and their care.

Yes ma'am. I have read much about them. I was just looking for more personal experiences, like longevity, temperament, etc. I think each puffer is different as far as personality and was just curious of others.

Dont the japanese eat these puffs as a delicacy?

PM Martin Hi. He has some of them still thriving AFAIK.

Many Takifugu are eaten in China and Japan and even bred in thousands in large pond facilities. Mostly other species, though.

I have no idea how much they are... you'd probably also need a ticket to China, a health certificate for the fish... and so on.
Fish are always cheap in the areas they are produced or caught. Porcs e.g. can be bought at 1-4$ each. After catching, exporting, importing, wholesaler etc., the related losses, they are easily around 30$ or more in European or American stores.
