or do you think my little girl might like some kind of vegetable or plant? should i try getting snails onto a romaine lettuce leaf then letting her pick them off of it?

Some puffers like peas every now and then. Try tossing in a frozen pea (let it thaw a bit first) and see if she'll eat it. If she doesn't, just take it out and try another pea the next day. Eventually she'll take a bite, and if she eats it, then voila!

My puffers chew up veggies and spit them out just as fast.

mine eat... everything. I'm sure the pea will work.
or you can load your snails too, but Lettuce has little nutrition. anything else will work (whole pea, cucumber, algae wafer)

thanks for all the suggestions! ill put a peice of cucumber in the snail jar to get a few on it then float it in her tank

Clooney loved peas though make sure you blanch them first to remove the shell as this is not digestible as far as I know. Gut loading shrimp and snails is a good way to get soem veg into the though if they won't take it first hand so to speak

Do F8's eat Ghost Shrimp, by chance? I'd really like to keep these guys in a breeding tank and feed them to my (hopefully-soon-to-come) future F8.

they sure will eat ghost shrimp -- mine took a while to realize they are food, but once he did, they were gone pretty quick --

Shelby spits out the shell, but that could only be because she's still little.

i already knew that about peas cause i had used those for my gouramis a few years ago
