Goodby Devlin!

Well, I said goodby to Devlin tonight. He was the easiest to catch. I took out all the rock & corals to catch all the other fish & bagged them, put back all the rock/corals again & then caught Devlin & put him into a small styro (I knew his spines would break through any bag I put him in). Brought him & the rest down to Union Station where a cop met me at the gate & I handed them over to him. He's taking them to Indiana for hypo in seperate tanks. The only fish that is showing Crypt is Devlin but they all need to be treated & my tank needs to be fallow for 6-8 weeks. The guy will ship Devlin after he's well to Spoot & Nusquam (that's if his kids let him), so I'll never see him again... By far, the best puffer I've ever kept!
:crying:  :crying2:

That sucks.

My friend got a dog for Xmas and it had some disease and died in less than a week. I forgot what it is called, but they can't get a new one for a year because of it. You are lucky it's only 6-8 weeks.

Parvo.

And to PP:
I am sorry about the little fellow. He was such a doll.

Hopefully he'll get better...
If he gets here, we promise to take tons of pictures and post them so you can keep up with him

Thank you for working so hard to take care of him while you had him...

I can't believe how much he had grown while he was here. From an inch to about 4", head to tail & very wide.

Why don't you get another burr PP?

I was only housing him temporarily--always knew I'd have to give him up. He was in a 40g & Filbert (my fahaka) doesn't like SW. He's in the 125g & the only other large enough tank I have is a 90g reef. I got him for free from a wholeasler friend that bought out a reef tank at the Backer's show here. The babyburr came with it. I kept telling him I couldn't keep it but as soon as I saw him... It was worth it, even for a little while.

At least that pic I took of him turned out to be one of my best. I'm gonna frame it!

Yup! :) I wonder if I could enter it in a UW photo contest or if the experts would know it was taken in a fish tank.

Crypt is marine ich.
It probably came with devlin as I believe that's the only new fish PP adding in a while.
PP brought the fish to a local reefer that has a large quarantine system who can treat the fishes in hypo salinity.
Yeah, PP will get her fish back as soon as her tank goes through being fallow.
Devlin will stay with the reefer until the weather warms up a bit, at which point the reefer will send him to me and nusquam.

I repeat, thanks PP! We will take wonderful care of him and make sure he grows big and slightly chubby :D
