I was wondering about supplements for puffers, i've heard of things like selcon and vitamins to soak my puffers food in as he is sick, i went all over looking for some but no one has anything, but then i realized that every other feeding i give him "Bio-Blend" tablets and the label says:
vitamin A,D,E,C, Spirulina and all sorts of other stuff.
"BIO-GAURD is a propietary formula of natural immunostimulants and vitamins proven to strengthen fish's biological resistance to disease from microorganisms" this sounds damn good to me, am i set or do i need to order some other stuff online? im sorry for the stupid questions but i love this puffer, and my girlfriend said if he dies she'll never forgive me.

I'm leery, -very- leery of nonspecified formalas. Marketing jargon means absolutely zero with me.
What are you feeding him and what type of puff is he? Very few puffs I know take tablets of any sort.

Selcon is an enrichment product marketed mainly for the use in marine tanks. It contains…
•HUFAs (Highly Unsaturated Fatty Acids), Marine Lipids, 200mg/g.
•Vitamin C stabilized, 200mg.
•Vitamin B12 Cyanocobalamin, 240mcg.

I do not know if Selcon is appropriate to use in fw & bw Puffer tanks.

I use two of the Kent products: Zoe Freshwater Vitamins and Zoe Saltwater Vitamins. Kent also makes Zoecon which is similar to Selcon. It contains… •Omega 3 Fatty Acids, EPA (eicosapentanoic acid) and DHA (docosahexanoic acid)

I do not know if Zoecon is appropriate to use in fw & bw Puffer tanks.

I'd soak his food in something like Kent SW Zoe prior to feeding and make sure he has a varied diet. He shouldn't need the HUFA/EPA supplements if he gets a wide variety of foods.
