If it was wild caught the odds of it happening are much much greater. Wild puffers contain poison (which is obtained through there food) called tetratoxin or something I forget. Either way it is very poisionous when eaten and is one of the main life saving defenses a pufferfish has.
The only other thing is if the fish swallowed it and the puffer puffed and the fish choked.
What size tank is your puffer in? How long was it cycled? And what fish are in with it.

"It did get ate" . I do not know weather it was wild or tank raise I got it from PETCO .
A angel fish ate it . The puffer has been on a diet of blood worms for about a month since I had it . and PETCO fed
them flaks .

They need to be in a tank by themselves, at least 3 gallons per puffer. They are very aggressive towards other fish and they might be fine now chances are they'll start attacking other fish soon, or the fish will attack them like what has already happened to yours.

"So will my fish die" , Have you ever heard of this happening . I will separate my last dwarf puffer from the tank to
save it and my other fish .

If your angel is alive now and is fine it won't die.
Also where are you going to put the dp and make sure not to let it be exposed to air.

When moving puffers from one tank to another, try to keep them submerged. Net the puffer and then scoop the net into a cup of water without ever taking the fish out of the water. Like, hold the cup in the tank, and put the net into it...
They're more likly to puff (and die) if exposed to air.

James got it right
Also take substrate from your main tank into the 5 gallon and maybe some filter media too, so that way your tank will be cycled. Water has barely any bacteria in it so using that as a way of cycling is very very ineffective.

I was looking at a product called Cycle in my LFS. it claims to have concentrated bacteria for a jump start on cycling your tank. is this stuff any good?

Nope. All that stuff is just dead bacteria. Bio Spira is the only one that works nearly all the time.
