f8's and krill

I have some questions that maybe someone can help me with...

Is it too much to feed an f8 daily? Should it be every other day? And is it too much to give freeze dried krill every other feeding? I just read that krill can tend to constipate an f8 if fed too frequently. Lastly, what are the symptoms of f8 constipation? thank you all!

Wow. Do you feed him anything else other than krill? For instance snails or fresh shrimp, etc?

isn't krill supposed to give them lock jaw after a while? Which essentially kills them?

Don't know why though..

I know in Porcupine Puffers it does, I am not 100% sure in other species. Either or,snails, mussels, clams and other invertebrates are ultimately the best for them.

It applies to all species but porcs are most suceptible.

Ok. I thought so but wasn't sure.

I've been feeding him frozen brine (thawed and strained) about half a cube every other day, and freeze dried krill once in morning, once in evening on the alternating days.

Is this too much food? I have seen that his anus seems like it is open too big too often, but I don't see much poopin' going on. I've tried to give him a pea, but he doesn't seem interested.

Brine shrimp isn't good for them either.
Brine shrimp to them is like potato chips for you, it does nothing at all just makes you fat.
I'd try him on bloodworms, mysis shrimp and other healthier foods.

It's like human diets, I suppose: a little of everything in moderation.
For the most part I feed my F8s a variety: bloodworm, krill, mysis, artemia, mussel (both chopped, and in shell), cockle (both chopped, and in shell). I don't have a regular feeding schedule with them; sometimes I can go a week feeding them each night, other weeks I feed every other day, and occasionally I will skip a meal two days in a row but that's rare and the longest they'll go.
I would say feeding every day is overfeeding.

In answer to how often--no more than every other day for a puffer that large.
