put my finger against the glass, she would investigate it for a little while then try to bite it through the glass... so i put my fingertip in the water for a little while and she got brave enough to try pecking it! it cracked me up! that is one tough little beak. so i got a small snail and held it between my thumb and first finger under the water and she came up and grabbed it from me! i love it! i want to try to get a video of it onto my camera when i have more snails. i am so amazed by this little fish and her stubborn personality!!! if i havent mentioned it before... i LOVE my little girl!!!! XD

I think that's why we all keep puffers--they just steal our heart!

Absolutely true!!!! With there curiousity around the tank and those cute little fins flapping like a tiny helicopter I don't see why they arent in everyones house. A ceylon seems like a cool puffer but you would have to talk to PP I believe she has one.

I have 2 GSP's and 4 Dwarf Puffers. I think I am becoming addicted but don't tell my husband. I have 1 dwarf puffer that totally rules any snails I put in the tank. She thinks they are for her and noone else. I have to scatter them around the tank so the others can have their own snail. They are absolutely by far the best fish I have ever owned but don't tell my cichlids they might get upset!

Sigh...they are so great.

My F8 was the best fish I ever had... I'm still missing him... =(
Looks like puffers have some kind of personality... they are so unique!!!

i feel so stupid now. how do all of you pronounce cichlids? ive been saying kicklids... but i hear other people saying sicklids. x.x

my husband keeps cichlids. it's pronounced sicklids!!

LOL. It's sichlids. I used to say chichlids earlier, so you aren't the only one with problems with pronouncing it.

what about ceylon...

i always pronounced it silon as in si-fi...

but a friend said it should be ce LON with the emphasis on the LON, as in a place near sri lanka....


that's the problem with the internet, nothing is actually said.
