I got 2 asellus in a tank with 2 filters. One of the filters are a standar eheim. One of the puffer got stuck in one of these holes in the back of the filter. I belive it was stuck there for about 8 hours.. When I found him, only his tail was showing between the filter and the glass, pulled him out, and he kind of seemed fine. He is a little skinny, and look kind of disorianteted, but my main consern is that he has gotten a wound on the top of his head.

The wound is about 1-2mm deep, and 5mm long. I know that the risk of infection is there, but what can I do to help him heal? Just wait?

I'd add Melafix and Pimafix just to be safe.

I guess that is some kind of medicin, but i've never heard about it..

I have to kind of med's, called "Esha Exit" and "Esha 2000", these covers about all that I could get of diseases in my tanks. Would one of these work?

Do they say anything about healing wounds? If they do I'd use them

In the library there's an article about pimafix and melafix. That might help you compare it with your local medicine and see if it's equivalent. Basicaly, I think you need something to prevent infection and promote healing.

Be careful about using any kind of antibiotic in your main tank. It can cause a crash of your biological filtration. Melafix has teatree oil in it.

The esha procduct are very good, I have used them for years. However the best product for abbrasions and wounds is melafix IMO. Its available in most LFS or can be purchased online
