I bought garlic extreme to treat for IP in a harmless way as a preventative for my baby gsp's and guppies (in different tanks). The bottle does not say how many days to use it. I did not find a clear dosage on how long in the library here. Anyone have any recommendations?

I used extreme garlic to treat a fish with marine ich. Long story short the garlic didn't help the fish at all. I did notice that the other fish absolutely love it though. I've read mixed reviews about it and LFS that I used to frequent really pushed it too. Use something small(like a shot glass or something) add some water, proportion whatever food you intend to feed them with. Add about a drop maybe 2 to the water and let it all soak together for about a half hour. Then dump it all in the aquarium. This is what my LFS told me to do and I'm not sure of any other way you can do it. Hope that helps.

Oh, and as far as how long you can use it. I'm pretty sure you can use it indefinately.

Thanks for the conformation Grey.
It took me reading the directions about 10 times to realize and one time after I read your post that it can be used at each feeding, I'm assuming safely. Am I going koo koo?

I soaked the puffers food in the garlic today (1 drop). They seemed to act a bit skittish after the feeding for a long while. Could that be my imagination?

Perhaps they aren't used to it.

The Garlic Extreme is NOT a medication. It is just a additive for there food that is suppose to help them boost there immune system and intice finnicky fish to eat. Like I said before, it has gotten mixed reviews on whether it actually does in fact help or not.
I used it when one of my marine fish started getting ich. While it didn't help the fish that had the ich, the ich didn't spread to the other fish either.
I really don't think it would make your fish skittish in anyway.
While I see it kind of pointless to use if your puffers are healthy and have appetites, you can use this stuff continually every feeding since it is just a food additive.
