I moved him to a larger tank and he is now filled with air. :( Is there anything I can do or is he pretty much a goner?

Net him keeping him under water, grab him point him upwards and gently rub his belly to see if you can get it out.

This is why you must never net a puffer. Always guide him into a cup or other container. Good luck burping him. You can also grab him with the net & while holding him under water by his tail, head up, gently shake him back & forth. He may puff again but this time it will be with water.

He has recovered nicely. :D I burped him as per the article in the library and he filled with water instead. After a while, he deflated and just lay motionless on the bottom, I thought for sure he was dead. But when I went to remove him, he moved so I left him alone and by the morning he was hiding out in a flower pot. I'm so glad he's OK, red eyes are not often seen for sale around here.
