Green Spotted Puffers in a reef tank?

Hey guys,
I've got a couple of GSPs in full marine conditions. The tank has been running for a few months now, and has a skimmer and stuff on it. I'm getting some mushrooms for free. Would puffers be alright with some of the hardier corals etc in the tank? I've been told that they'll demolish a reef tank, but I've got some marine weed type stuff the person who gave me the puffers also gave me and they leave that alone. Also got a couple shrimp and olive rockfish in there they haven't touched at all.
Anyone have GSPs with a semi reef tank?

They'll probably be ok with mushrooms and may do well with many other soft corals. It really depends on the fish. I would start cheap, introduce things slowly and see what happens.

Yeah, I am planning on doing so. I'm getting some free mushrooms delivered any day now, thanks to a kind person on our national aquarium forum
Hope all goes well, they do seem fairly placid for puffers, after reading so much about them before they came, almost expecting them to rip everything to shreds!
Mind, I own cichlids as well, so quite used to fishy aggression.

Mine picked at zoanthids but things like mushrooms, leathers & xenia should do OK.

I have my little one in full marine. So far so good, he hasn't demolished any corals yet.

I've heard that mushrooms and some other soft corals supposedly taste bad to most fish so they don't eat them. Zoanthids on the other hand often seem to be a favorite.

Just curious have you got your mushrooms yet? And how are your puffers doing with them? I was thinking of getting some for my tank to add color but it will be about 6 months before I start that.

I've seen GSPs kept in beautiful reef tanks with no problem. How are the fish and mushrooms doing?>

Reef will be the next thing I learn about so I can add it to my puffers tank when the time is right!
