Yes, we are dripping young Pondbottom the GSP over to full salt today. His tank mates will be a small occelaris clown and 2 yellow gobies. I think he will be much happier in this tank with many more caverns to explore. I am making my husband buy batteries so I can actually post some pictures later of it!

I put 2 ocellaris in with my GSPs & one was gone by the next day. Returned the remaining one. I think they are too gentle & slow swimmers. A tomatoe clown worked much better.

Oh my. I hope that he doesn't eat him, they are close in size though so maybe Pondbottom will leave him alone. If anything goes down we can move the clownfish quickly.

Like I said--it happened overnight--when puffers do most of their damage.

Then maybe I shall move the clown before I move him, just to be safe.

You would probably have better luck with a larger more agressive clown like a Maroon.

Maroons are very mean & aggressive. Within a week of adding one to my GSP tank, all the puffer's tails were stumps. Go for a tomatoe clown instead.

So far so good. Everyone is fine and getting along. At first I thought the clownfish was done for because my puffer kept following him around. But he left him alone and is now happily swimming about the tank enjoying the space.

Wow, that was a mean @$$ maroon. I've kept them in the past and found them to be just agressive enough to hold their own.

I'm getting a maroon off a friend soon and was going to try her in with my puffers (female). Is there a difference in aggression between male and female maroons?
