F8 tank size

After getting my first DP last week, I've been reading up on the larger puffers, F8s and GSPs mostly. Since GSP's are to big for me to handle right now, I was thinking an f8. I have been reading up and know that they would be happier in a 15g but I was wondering if one could possibly handle a 10 gallon. I'll even provide extra filtration if it helps. I just don't have the money to get a larger tank to keep one. I just have a spare 10 laying around. :confuzzeled:

It is possible but it would be happier in a 15g. Keep up with 50% weekly WC & be sure the tank is completely cycled before adding the puffer.

I'll just wait to get one then. It will be a while before a get one anyway. Maybe after christmas i'll have some extra money to spend on myself ^-^ Thank you for your response though. I'm still going to do some more research before I get one.

I'm also glad to hear you're taking your time. If you take the time to research, plan, and do things right the first time both you and your fish will be much happier in the end.

I'd rather take the time to make sure everything is done right the first time. Thank you for your kind words though. I have my hands full with raising betta's at the moment anyway. ^^
