I have a backish tank with green spotted puffers and figure 8's. I feed them 2-3 time daily. the figure 8's are like 2 times bigger them my gsp but i know thats not going to last. I know that gsps get a little aggressive with age, my question is that if the gsps for some odd reason eat one of my other figure 8's or one another, will they die?

They won't eat them--just tear up their fins & such--possibly kill them. They might not die but you still should seperate them eventually.

how long should i wait until i seperate them?

I'd seperate them before the GSPs grow to 2". They'll be wanting a higher SG by then. What are they in now?

they are just under 1 inch. my figure 8's are about 2 inches.

They are all in what size tank? Is there plenty of decor to break up their lines of sight?

they are in a 50 gallon brackish. 2 fake plants and three 6 X 3 pvc tubing.

Eventually you will need that 100g for the 3 GSPs & then you can figure out what you want to do with the F8s. 2 fake plants aren't nearly enough decor to give everyone territories & reduce squabbling. Look at my tanks in the sig below for ideas of how much decor is necessary to keep these fish happy.

wow!! those green spotted puffers are absolutly huge!!

A bit off topic but I have to know what size tank your GSP's, tomato clownfish & damselfish are in Pufferpunk and did you add the all to the tank at the same time? Is there a risk you might have problems with the different species living together?

Your tank is very colourful, are they fake plants, or real corals?

And how do they go with the clownfish? I was offered a female maroon clown fish 7-8 cms long. Was debating trying her in with the puffers...

Everything but the fish are fake. I would never recommend that many fish for anyone in a 55g (even for myself--eventually had to re-home the puffers). I tried a maroon clown w/my puffers--very mean clown! Within a week, all my puffer's tails had been nipped to the bone. Got rid if that clown & got a pair of perculas. One was missing by the morning. Brought the mate back & got a tomatoe clown. That one lasted a year & just found it dead one morning. Best fit though, for the puffers. If I was to do a GSP again, with tank mates, I'd do just 1 in a 55g. For what I was keeping, I should have has a 100g tank.
