Quick answer needed. Ammonia burned gills

It seems like one of my corydoras has gotten ammonia burned gills (this is only a theory, but a theory that makes sense at least). Is there any way at all I can help this fish! It's in big trouble right now. Is there any way I can make breathing easier for it? Is there any way at all I can save it?

I guess it depends how bad the ammonia burn is.
I'd make sure he's in a tank with VERY clean water with a light amount of circulation over the fish. Melafix/Pimafix might not be a bad idea either.
