my largest gsp died last saturday. it was 2.5 inches was about 2 years old. it has been floating around in the tank last week but the coloration is still good. no indication of any sickness or malnourished.
well, i decided to do a post mortem of it and i found out there are eggs inside her! *all the time i thought its a he*. did not take any photos though. the eggs are about 1mm in diameter and yellow. there are approx 30 or more eggs inside an egg sac.
1. never had water para tested. 90-95% water change fortnightly. brackish tank
2. 3 ft x 1.5 x 2. 5 other GS puffers. 1 x 2.4 inch, 3 x 1.5 inch & 1 x 0.7 inch.
3. brine shrimp + bloodworms. occasional clams + small crabs. as no. 1. nutrafin water conditioner.
4. about 2 - 3 years. ermmm... never did a proper tank cycling thou.
