Hey guys, I don't know if any of you saw my thread about giving my puffer spoiled food. Well about a week ago I didn't know I was giving my puffer spoiled blood worms. He would take the first bite but then left everything alone and this went on for 2-3days before I figured out that the food was spoiled. Well before this incident, my GSP has always been "beefy", but after the incident he has been looking skinny. He eats everyday, but it seems like he needs to eat more before his stomach is bulging. And the next day the stomach is straight like he's starving.

Do you think he got IP because of spoiled food?

whenever i feed my DP their little tummys are plump then the next day they are flat again. it just means they are digesting it properly...my GSP eats more and bigger foods so he stays round for about 2-3 days (until the next feeding)

If the belly is sunken the next day then it could be internal parasites. My Sabahensis could eat 10 prawns and the next day look sunken, now 4 days between feedings and it's not sunken. It would be worth doing a preventative treatment just in case, if it is IP's and it gets too far then there is always the risk of not being able to bring him back from the brink.

Well it's not sunken, but the bottom part is not plump anymore after a day of feeding. It just look straight like he hasn't had food in a week. I guess I'll do my home remedy of making the pumpkin seed milk again to remove the IP

If you think it's out of the ordinary and you're feeding the same amounts that you usually were I think in this case its probably to be better safe than sorry in this case.
