Vitamins and brackish puffers

Is it the same with brackish puffers, than with SW puffers, that they don't drink water? Will it be pointless to add vitamins to the water for brackish puffers?

Ooops! I just realized I solved that problem 3 days ago

I tested my home made discus food on my puffers (no, it doesn't have any meat in it), and they loved it (I checked with Hufflepuff first - the puffer who goes sulking in a corner when he gets food he doesn't like

). And I've put vitamins into that food

And lots of green stuff. Feeding with this occationally, would give them both vitamins and green stuff
But I am still a little curious about the answer to my question: would adding vitamins to brackish water be pointless?
