ceylon puffer- full marine?

I know they need high end brackish when they get more mature...
but can you take it to full marine?
what size should he be before he should have his salinity raised from 1.006 which is what he is at now.
My ceylon is doing very well now, but i want to do something with the tank eventually, make a bit more of a show out of him so wondering about attempting a marine set up? (my first, puffer is my first brackish.. but now i'm growing in confidence!)
Would he be suitable with any tankmates at all? He's never been tested with other fish (other than initially when he wasn't very well- didn't go for anything, but then he wasn't very well.... )
could he work with soft corals...?
what do you think?
thanks.
