Hi, just wondered if you would be able to take a look at some

I just got home and looked at my puffer and he's got some white marks on him. There's 3 total and theyre about 3-4mm diamater. It's not fungus, the marks are flat to the skin. I've attached some pics but they're not the best as the tank lights have died. Any idea what it could be? Nothing seems wrong with water quality. No change in behaviour either.

pH 7.6
NH3 0
NO2 0
NO3 12.5

Tank size 30 USG, only fish in tank, setup last year (24th oct 06), fishless cycled. water changes once a week, fed a prawn twice weekly.

My turgidus gets those ocassionally since I've moved (don't think the fish in general like my new "city" water). They go away if I use reconstituted RO water for his water changes. They seem to show up if the nitrates get above 10.

Try doing a few extra large water changes to get the nitrates down a bit farther. I don't think its a fungus or anything, but maybe just scrapes from going in and out of his "cave" (a rough rock with a hole in the center) that get a little cruddy while they heal if the water quality isn't perfect.
