Ok, right after I got done doing a water change tonight and I got to plug my filter back in, does not turn on. I take it apart mess with it and it makes some noise as if it is going to start cycling and then doesn't even after it is filled with water. The heater is up are running and so is everything else in the tank, but I am worried that my puffer will not make it through the night. Should I be worried about this or will he be fine til the morning when I can call the store which I bought this filter from?

Did you try spining the impeller by hand? Are you using sand substrate? You may have to hold the filter upside down & spray water into the impeller housing to get out anything that might be impeding the impeller.
I'm about to go do the same to mine right now, thanks for reminding me!

I think it may be too late. It is looking as if my puffer has seen better days. I really was into having a puffer but now that it is hard to keep a puffer here at school I may just looking to something that needs less from me. Its a sad day..

whats wrong is that he died. deader than a door nail. Did a water change and everything today. Siphoned all the sand too, then a few hours later...dead. Idk what happened or how things went south that quickly, but i have a feeling that when my my old filter crapped out the other night while i was sleeping the tank conditions got worse and then the new one i bought seemed to struggle working as well.

Yea it is a downer for sure. I'll take a break from fish for awhile, at least until I see something that catches my eye at the store or something.
