It may be that I am just out of my mind today, but for some reason my Fahaka seems as if his colors are for more drastic today then normal. I am only going to assume that it is a misjudgment on my behalf or is this heard of?

They can lighten or darken up, wouldn't start to worry just yet. Might be worth checking your water parameters just for peace of mind.
