Plants: hornwort, coryobosis siamesis
1 Turgidus 4"

Nh3-0, No2-0, No3-10, Ph 8.0

Diet: Fresh shrimp(monday, Friday), snails (Wed)

I have had the puffer for 3 months. Adopted him from someone who had him in a community tank.

Set up tank with an established filter and substrate, 50-60% Water changes 1 time a week.

Puffer was in good condition when I got it and responded positively when it got settled(see pic 1)



He has been alittle of of his food this last week.

Noticed today that he had white spots on top of head and front fins(pic 2)



Only changes of sources of stress I know of is that the temperature has fluctuated a couple of times between 80` and 72`

My turgidus is super sensitive to dirty water. Since I've moved him to a 20 long from a 29, he's had tons of skin issues if I don't do two water changes each week. I don't know if its the new water here that he doesn't like or if that 5 gallon tank size difference really mattered that much. He's being moved back to a 29 as soon as possible, and when I can, I do his water changes with RO water (with RO right added of course) and that seems to help a lot.

But yeah, it seems to be a species that likes to lay around a lot, so Bubba is always scraping up his sides on the gravel or his head in his "cave", and if the water isn't pristine, he gets little white patches. In his case, clean water and a little melafix seems to help.
