Skin problem or healing bite?

Hi, I just got a redtail puffer a week ago. The tank had been cycled for 5 weeks before he came with some rasboras and live plants, which were then removed to my community tank. So, my puffer is the only inhabitant, besides some snails. Water checks show everything is fine and I use Stress Coat as my water conditioner to remove chloramine. I noticed that he had this white spot on his side from the first day, but he was very shy at first and hid in the plants and his rock caves, so I could not get a good look. Now that he is more relaxed, I can see the spot better. Someone suggested that it may be a bite from another puffer while he was at the lfs. But I want to be sure, so I am asking you to see if you might identify it as an infection. I am attaching a picture. Please help!
