J-P did you ever encounter any "white spot" that could last for 2 weeks or more?
Even when medication was provided.

I can't say I have.

I have never had ICH in any of my tanks (knock on wood).

Most fish are treated in a QT tank, but having said that, my QT failures are numerous. The ones that survive are very nice.

My fish rehab skills are not the best and I hope some day to improve on that. I think my rehab survival rate is somewhere in the 25% range.

Hmmmm........... You must have quite a handfull of azn friends before right?
For you to say "knock on wood" makes you very azn.
Wait a min... Only the ppl here in singapore, malaysia and hong kong uses that connotation.

wow 25%.... Maybe why its at 25% its maybe not on the medication part but rather the diagnostic part.

25% survival rate is both diagnostic and medication. They go hand in hand. Sometimes I try to treat a lost cause, sometimes they come back.

usually after a large trauma they need a QT (jumping the tank etc..) and I try to rehab them but it is not always successful.

"knock on wood" is a North American saying. I am not Asian but spent most of my adult life (thus far) over seas in Asia.

One of the good things residing in in asia is that they have many types of medication and remedies for fishes.
All types and makes all the way from china, germany, and the states.

"knock on wood" iam very surprise to hear that its being used in north america too!!

The definition of "knock on wood" here is when you are bout to say something "taboo or bad" and if you do no want it to happen after saying it, one would "knock on wood" or "touch wood" first before saying it.

Please try the comprehensively I know this thread is very controversial and I won't be joining in but I think that we can all learn something. I do want to hear how things turn out. And I do hope that we can help you in some way with these babies.
