I had a pretty good day, and after the way yesterday went, I deserved a good day.

I went and got another pygmy chameleon, a Kenyan to replace Jerome that passed away earlier in the week.
I think we're calling this one 'Jiblet', he's very cute (but then again, they all are). I also checked my pygmy eggs and this one poor baby has been struggling to get out of his egg for at least 3 days. I thought he had died in the struggle, but when I opened the container and picked him up, his little feet reached out and held onto my finger. So I was determined to try and help him. I carefully pulled the remainder of the egg off of him, and thankfully he came out and seemed to be okay. He started moving his hind legs immediately, and I could see that all his appendages were moving, so that is good. He was very weak and sort of ambled around falling over frequently. So I put in some small pieces of wood, something for him to climb up on. I was told when he had enough strength to climb up the wood and seemed to be moving about easily, then I could move him into the other container with the other baby. I think I will probably move him later tonight.
So far that's 4 eggs that have hatched, although there were 5 of them. I tried to find the fifth egg, but I could not find it. I don't know if it dried up, they tend to do that. Right now that leaves 2 eggs yet to hatch, but they were laid later than the others, so it could be weeks or months before they hatch, but at least I will be better prepared this time. :)

Not free when you consider the food and vet bills (emphasis on the vet bills). lol

Removal of goodies should be cheap too. You just need to be prepared for when it gets sick, eats something it shouldn't, etc.

25 bucks per shot? At my vet we give most of them for $12 ea. Fixing them isn't very expensive if you don't opt for additional pain meds, blood screening, sub-Q or IV fluids, etc. But yeah, it's the unexpected vet visits that'll get ya.

Do you know what shots are all included? For kittens the basic ones are FVRC2P/FELV and Rabies. Others are FIV, FIP, and Giardia. But if you do vaccinate for FIV (feline aids), you should microchip them, because if they are vaccinated for that, they will show a false positive on FIV tests.

thanks for the info. I had no idea what shots were needed. I know they do rabies for 10 and then a group of others for 15

So, I got up this morning and decided I was going to detail the exterior of my car. I spent 9.5 hours working on it. I did everything from taking paint thinner to get tree sap off of it, using a pre-wax cleaner, then a oxidation remover/colour restorer, and then a polishing compound and a lot of elbow grease to get some of the scratches out of it. After all of that was done, I then decided to wash it really well, chamois dry it, and then proceeded to wax it really really really well. If that wasn't enough I then decided to really clean the rims/tires and also the windows and lights (yes even the little lights over my rear license plate). I figured I would spend the morning working on it and be done by noon or 1pm at the latest...Nope! Once I got started I just couldn't stop myself!

Man am I tired! But my car looks better than it ever has! Soooooo shiny!

Today I went to pick up my holiday tickets.. leaving next sunday. They changed my flight times and didn't even let me know.
Now I have to leave the house at 4am! -_- atleast I get some of the day when I'm there though to like.. sort the room out and go for a swim.. my flight before meant I got there at 9 at night so I get extra time I guess.. leaving is morning though and not night but I'm happy about that too because now I dont have to sit with suitcases for 7 + hours after being thrown out the room.
Anyway.. so then some random boy shouted at me today in the street "I bet your mums proud" and winked.. I was like what? :? lol if that was suppose to be hitting on me it was the worst line I ever heard ..and my gran was with me

Then I got home.. watched loads of "true blood" I love those books and programs.. now I'm off to bed.

The vet still didn't come :( my auntie is a vet though so shes going to come to mine I think..

I found a freshly cleaned and waxed car and put finger prints all over it. I licked my hand and wiped that on it too but the owner immediately wiped that off. So, I tried again on the roof and he couldn't reach that to dry it off.

Victory is mine

I took care of the pets I'm sitting for a few days then went to the barn and rode with two friends. We were supposed to go on a hack but the storm ruined that idea. We did go for a little walk around the property though. I haven't ridden in a week and it was nice to get back on. My horse was quite the character today and our ride was full of squealing, grunting, kicking, hopping, bucking, and head tossing. My abs got a very good workout.

I also did a lot of sitting trot work and I had 2 seams that were in a very bad place :( Note to self: wear riding pants for sitting trot work.

Here he is bucking with my previous coboarder. He bucks larger for me too  Doesn't do it as much but the ones I get can be huge. Stinker.
